Integrity, Respect, Passion, and Community. Those are our core values at Hernando Soccer Club, and our Recreational Pathway strives to achieve them in a safe, non-competitive, and progressive environment.
Rec's Mission
The Mission of the Recreational Pathway is to encourage each player to be the best they can be and instill, through development, the basic fundamental principles of soccer.
Registration
Parents MUST register their children online.
HSC uses a blind draft system when forming teams. We CANNOT honor any special requests for team placement or practice nights. Please keep this in mind when registering.
Structure of Recreational Soccer
There is plenty to learn in our progressive and fun recreational program. Our youngest players start with fewer players on the field, a smaller ball, no goalkeepers, and coaches right out on the field guiding them as they go. As the players mature, the elements of the game change. Field size, number of players, and ball size gradually increase, and we see the addition of goalies. This progressive process is designed age-appropriate and grows with the child.

For those considering TARSA.
It is highly recommended that you have multiple years playing experience before you make the decision to step into this regional soccer group. Most of the teams play at a level well above recreational and just below or nearly equal to ‘competitive’ level. Performance expectations are high and the work to be ‘game ready’ can be intense. If you think you have what it takes, and you are willing to travel around the Tampa region, extending from North/South Tampa, Zephyrhills to Wimauma, then get ready to bring your ‘A’ game and join us!’
